Current Opening: Grants & Database Administrator

The Women's Museum, located in Dallas, Texas, seeks an experienced Raiser's Edge and grant writing professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for the facilitation and coordination of all grant and database activities, including data entry and the generation of standard and ad-hoc reports and queries. Key activities involved in the management of the museum's database include reviewing and recommending any revisions to internal fundraising policies and procedures; prospect and donor entry, tracking, and extraction of needed information in a timely manner; oversee design, development, implementation and maintenance of enhancements to Raiser's Edge. Serve as the onsite expert for the constituent database.

Additionally, the selected individual will be initiating and coordinating corporate and foundation proposals, including research, prospective corporate and foundation visits, and drafting and submission of formal grant procedures. The preferred professional will participate in all fundraising events, including event-day staffing.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, 5 years of experience, and superb written and analytical skills. Only candidates with Raiser's Edge and grant writing experience will be considered.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Qualifications:

  • Must have successfully completed freshman year at an accredited college or university
  • Returning as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in the Fall of 2010
  • Strong oral & written communication skills
  • Research experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Passion for working with youth of all ages and an interest in women's history/studies
  • Positive work ethic, self-starter and willingness to take direction
  • Reliable transportation is a must.

Job Description:
The Women's Museum's Education Programs Department seeks a creative and energetic summer intern interested in making a difference in the lives of today's youth. During the Museum internship, the successful candidate will be trained to assist with group tours, help implement the curriculum for summer camps and conduct educational & historical research for outreach kits & the upcoming Youth Docent Program. Additional administrative & clerical duties may be required.
