GIRLS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Under the Institute for the Future, the Women’s Museum will offer a series of programs, workshops, and enrichment activities designed to help adolescent girls from 11-17 develop and sustain a strong sense of self. All programs have been created to help our participants:
- Learn critical thinking skills
- Acquire a stronger appreciation for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
- Increase leadership & communication skills
- Expand their appreciation for history, arts & culture
- Discover new & exciting career pathways for emerging leaders
- Take part in Leadership Forums
- Participate in Self-Esteem workshops
Environmental Leadership Program (ELP)
The Women’s Museum: An Institute for the Future, The Texas Discovery Gardens and Irma Rangel Leadership School for Girls are partnering on an environmental leadership pilot program that launched in 2007. The program will include nine (9) modules related to environmental awareness and leadership.
Girls Can Do Anything Summer Camps
Each summer the Institute for the Future offers two weeks of summer enrichment activities for girls in the Dallas-Ft.Worth area. Many of the activities are related to art, history, science, medicine and technology.
