Thank you to Best Buy for donating the new computers in the Institute!!!!
The educational heartbeat of The Women's Museum™ is the Institute for the Future, named for Ronya Kozmetsky in honor of her long history of helping women and girls. The 1,372 sq. ft. facility, complete with 24-station computer laboratory, offers programs designed to provide young people and adults with the resources and technological competencies they need to succeed in the future.
The Institute offers hands-on computer-based programs in a fun and interesting environment. A fast-paced, specialized curriculum provides math, science and computer technology skills. The museum's professional team works with well-trained volunteer mentors to create and deliver a broad range of creative and enriching programs. Additionally, the Institute is a living laboratory for research of learning strategies and teaching techniques.
In addition to activities in the computer lab, educational offerings include lectures, films, tours and teacher and school programs.
