SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS AT The Women's Museum™
Engage, enrich, and inspire your students - visit The Women's Museum™!
Rates
Admission for school groups of 10 or more is $3.00 per student (18 and under). Teachers are admitted free of charge with their students. One teacher or chaperone is required for every twenty students. Adults must remain with their groups at all times.
Scheduling
We require at least 3 weeks advance notice to schedule a school field trip. To schedule your visit, please submit the School Field Trip Request form.
Group Size
Field trips are available for groups of 10 or more. Large groups will be divided into smaller groups of 20-30 students.
Length of Visit
The length of your visit varies by program. Docent-guided tours usually last 1 to 1.5 hours. Lesson plan activities and scavenger hunts last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. We recommend that you allow an additional half hour for students to take a closer look at the exhibits or browse through The Museum Store.
Special Needs
Please inform the Tour Coordinator of any special needs for your group during scheduling. A limited number of wheelchairs are available for our guests.
Free Passes
At the conclusion of the field trip, teachers and students receive a free pass to come back and visit The Women's Museum™. Please note that the number of free passes is based on actual field trip attendees. We are unable to provide additional passes for students who do not come on the field trip.
ArtsPartners
The Women's Museum™ is an ArtsPartners affiliated organization. If your school receives ArtsPartners funding, ask your ArtsPartners Site Coordinator or Representative if you can use ArtPartners to book your tour. Please have your APP# ready when contacting The Women's Museum™ to schedule your field trip.
Payments and Deposits
The Women's Museum™ accepts the following forms of payment: cash, check, traveler's check, money order, and credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and VISA).
A non-refundable deposit of either $30.00 or 50% down must be received by the museum two weeks prior to your visit. If payment is not received, your field trip is subject to cancellation. Checks and money orders should be made payable to "The Women's Museum™." Please mail to The Women's Museum™, Attn: Tour Coordinator, 3800 Parry Avenue, Dallas TX 75226. For credit card transactions, please call 214.915.0862. The remaining balance is due in a single payment at the time of arrival.
Upon request, we will hold deposits until the date of your field trip. If you pay the total amount due upon arrival, your deposit will be returned.
Rescheduling
If you must reschedule your field trip, please call 214.915.0862 at least 3 business days prior to your scheduled date. Rescheduling is subject to availability. If you call 3 business days prior, your deposit will be transferred to your new tour date.
If you do not contact us to reschedule at least 3 business days prior to your field trip date, your deposit may not be applied to the new field trip date and will not be refunded.
Cancellations
If you must cancel your field trip, please call 214.915.0862 at least 3 business days prior to your scheduled date. A refund check will be issued to you within 2 weeks of your cancellation. You will be refunded up to 50% of the total amount as indicated on your invoice.
If you do not contact us to cancel at least 3 business days prior to your scheduled field trip date, your payment will not be refunded.
Refunds
If you have pre-paid for a field trip and fewer students attend than anticipated, you will be issued a refund check within 2 weeks. You will be refunded up to 50% of the total amount as indicated on your invoice.
