Education : Texas Girls State Fair
Register your amazing young lady today!
The Texas Girls’ State Fair was designed to help increase the confidence, and self-esteem of girls from ages 10-18. Girls today are bombarded with many mixed media messages that do not always present girls and women in a positive light. The Texas Girls State Fair (TGSF) is a three-week event during the State Fair of Texas when millions of Texans explore the Fair grounds for the latest, greatest and most entertaining events. The purpose of Texas Girls’ State Fair is to honor, recognize and showcase the achievements and interests of Texas girls from ages 10– 18 in this spectacular and unique revue.
During the Texas Girls’ State Fair, the 70,000 square foot building is transformed into a lively, colorful, and exuberant venue for music, dance, gymnastics, fashion, sports, video, and a wide range of exhibits that show what girls are doing, thinking about, and achieving today.

The Texas Girls’ State Fair has become a wholesome activity center for girls and their families during the State Fair of Texas. Families rated The Women’s Museum as the number one family place to go!
In its debut year, 2006, over 159,000 visitors came to The Women’s Museum to be part of the most family-friendly place in all the fairgrounds. Visitors were treated not only to the talents of over 100 girls in areas including music, art, sports and academics but were also a part of the magic of the Professor Science Show, visited with Clifford the Big Red Dog, Maya & Miguel, viewed the record breaking Marilyn Monroe exhibit, “Exploited, Explored, Explained” and became part of the audience watching news being made as CBS broadcast live from The Women’s Museum every Friday during the fair.
This
year we are proud to announce the addition of the
Girls Who Rock! Music Festival.
We are calling all girls that rock!
