Education/Programs : Summer Enrichment Camps

Each summer, the Institute for the Future offers summer enrichment activities open to all girls in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. 2010 Summer Enrichment Camps

Adventures in Science Summer Camp

Session One: June 7-11, 2010
Session Two: June 14-18, 2010
9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

The Adventures in Science summer enrichment camp is geared towards young girls throughout the Dallas Metroplex ages 11-16. The Museum’s goal is to provide a week long science enrichment [science, technology, engineering, math, etc.] program for girls that will expose them to various science related career fields and exciting experiments and science projects.

Girls Can Do Anything: Dream Your Career Workshop

Session One: August 2-6, 2010
Session Two: August 9-16, 2010
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in a museum? Do you know how many years of training it takes to become a doctor? What does a scientist REALLY do? This summer camp, geared towards girls ages 12-16, will help answer these and other questions. Each day’s activities will focus on a different career interest, allowing campers to learn about skills and knowledge needed to pursue these careers.
