SmartHouse: On the Cutting Edge of Going Green
The Women's Museum

The SmartHouse Exhibit, created by AMX for The Women's Museum, makes "going green" hands-on this year at the State Fair of Texas. Interact with the newest "green" technologies, from energy-saving thermostats and water heaters to security systems that turn the lights on when you get home.
Try out other cutting-edge energy-saving solutions, including:
- Thermostats that communicate with utility companies and adjust for weather conditions
- Sunlight-detecting lights and shades
- Heat-sensing window awnings
- Self-adjusting sprinkler systems
- Tankless water heaters and re-circulating water pumps
In addition, you can watch videos, visit interactive kiosks, and learn how the women engineers of AMX are helping to build the household of the future.
Admission to The Women's Museum is free during the State Fair of Texas.
